Meet our wonderful staff! We pride ourselves on selecting employees that truely care about teaching children not only gymnastics but how to be a better person as a whole.

Our staff regularily attends not just local clinics, but regional and national congresses as well. We have multiple National Coach and Junior Olympic certified coaches on staff and all update and continue their education through USAG.



Debi Walk

Debi Walk

Debi is the owner of the gym and has 45+ years of coaching experience, having coached 10 US National team members with multiple gymnasts recieving college scholarships. 

5 years ago she discovered a passion for Trampoline and Tumbling and developed the program from the ground up, and it already has produced multiple National Champions and Elite Level gymnasts.

Erin Pettid

Erin Pettid

Erin loves gymnastics and has been coaching all levels of gymnastics for over 30 years!! She is very passionate about the Xcel team and treats all of her girls as if they were her own.

Melissa Miller

Melissa Miller

Melissa joined us in 2014 and has over 30 years of coaching experience including previously being a Preschool Director and Recreational class coach.

She holds a B.S. in Health & Physical Education and Elementary Education.

USAG Certified in Compulsories

In her spare time Melissa enjoys watching her children cheer and creating crafts, especially stamping.

Fun Fact: Melissa loves VCU she will know where they stand in all sports.

Kevin Kepick

Kevin Kepick

Kevin came to us in 2013 after having been involved in gymnastics his whole life, competitng at the Jr Elite Boys Level to Coaching a Boys Team and working with Trampoline and Tumbling.

His experience across all programs has sparked a passion in Training JO Gymnasts, where he currently coaches our Optional and Compulsory Teams.

Kevin enjoys Rock climbing and can always be up for a challenge, even if he looses the challenge he is a good sport about the punishments which have included shaving 1/2 his beard, and an assortment of crazy pants that he has had to wear.

Fun Fact: Kevin can still do his Right leg split!
